Book Club
The Book Club generally meets the first Saturday of the month at 9 am. In addition to discussing that month’s book selection, the Book Club is a terrific opportunity to get to know fellow GSWS members in an informal setting.

Festival of Trees
The Festival of Trees Committee is in charge of the annual fundraiser for GSWS. This committee plans and coordinates all facets of the event from fundraising and marketing to volunteers and logistics. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefits local charitable organizations selected by GSWS.

Service/Volunteerism
The Service/Volunteerism committee promotes various service opportunities to the membership and coordinates volunteers for projects and programs.

Programs
The Programs Committee is responsible for planning the general meetings. They also schedule the speakers and program topics to be covered at every general meeting.

Meet & Greet
In addition to various membership social events, GSWS hosts informal member get-togethers. The Meet & Greet committee organizes the Meet & Greet events.

Social
The Social Committee is in charge of making arrangements for all social activities, including special interest activities or trips. There are many social activities throughout the year for members to choose to attend.

Circle of Friends
The Circle of Friends is in charge of arranging all meals, plants, or other appropriate expressions for a member or her immediate family for major life events.

Historian
This committee maintains a record of the group’s accomplishments & activities for the year. It is responsible for collecting items such as pictures & news clippings about group & its members and organize a scrapbook for the year.

Publicity
The Publicity Committee promotes GSWS’s activities and purpose in the community. The committee coordinates all news and press information pertaining to GSWS.

Newsletter/Website
The Newsletter/Website Committee is in charge of maintaining the GSWS website and publishing the monthly newsletter containing information about the Club’s activities.

Phone Tree
The Phone Tree Committee is in charge of reminding all members of upcoming meetings or programs and any information from the Board.

By Laws
The Bylaws Committee reviews all GSWS and affiliate Bylaws, when adopted or amended, for conflict or inconsistency. The Committee requests the GSWS Board of Directors action when necessary to bring Bylaws and documents in conformity.

GFWC/TFWC Juniorettes 

GFWC/TFWC Liaison
The Committee serves as GSWS’s primary contact to the state and national affiliates. This committee disseminates affiliate information to members as well as is responsible for any reports to GFWC and TFWC.

GSWS Merchandise
Members are encouraged to show support for GSWS and help promote the organization by wearing GSWS branded paraphenialia. The Shirts/Tag/Visor committee oversees orders and distributes items to members. Please note initial membership dues fee included cost for GSWS nametag.
